Why SHOULD I HIRE A RUNNING COACH?

Forte Running's Thoughts

Running is simple, right? You put on some shoes and head out for a run. Yes, at its core running is an extremely simple activity. However, if you’re new to the sport or have some big race goals on the horizon, you’re going to need a little guidance.

That’s where a running coach can offer huge benefits. You see, we all need a little help, an extra push, now and then. Runners are no different.

Whether you’re brand new to running, seeking the best half marathon plan or marathon plan, a coach can help you train smarter, harder, and better. Our experienced expert coaches are here to answer your questions about running and targeting realistic and rewarding goals.

WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR IN A RUNNING COACH?

Hiring a coach is about finding a partner who will work with you to help you achieve your goals. This means you want the best coach for you. Our coaches bring three key things to the table that you should want in a coach: Running experience, RRCA Certification, and personalities you can work with.

RUNNING EXPERIENCE

We’ve run more than 80 marathons between us. We know how to train for both short and long races (and everything in between!) We also come from a solid running community with amazing resources. If we don’t know the answer to your question, we’ll find someone who does and get you the information you need.

RRCA CERTIFICATION

Coaches certified by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) have undergone extensive training on the best practices of coaching runners. They also have to pass an exam that ensures they know how to coach. Forte’s coaches are RRCA certified so you can rest assured that all of our recommendations come from a solid foundation of running principles.

PERSONALITIES YOU CAN WORK WITH

Forte’s coaches are here to help you succeed. We’ll push you to be your best and pat you on the back when you need a little encouragement. Every athlete needs something different from their coach. We’ll work together even if your goal is to run/walk and finish a half marathon. We listen to your needs and respond in the way that best suits you.
